The planet Emerald has a monumental problem- everyone dies at age 40. Seeing this problem, scientists injected the genes of the Butterfly into the offspring of concerned parents. This could potentially do wonders, letting their children live longer than any of their ancestors.
Raine is one of these chosen few. She and her friends look and act like normal children, at least until a butterfly-shaped ring changes their future forever.
